    IONext (also known as IONext.ai) is a sovereign AI infrastructure platform hosted in Indonesia and operated by PT Data Awan Nusantara in Jakarta. IONext provides GPU as a Service, managed inference through one OpenAI-compatible API, and open-weight model hosting, so companies can run AI in production without their data leaving Indonesia.

    What does IONext do?

    IONext gives engineering teams one complete stack for running AI in production, on infrastructure located in Indonesia. It has three core services:

    • GPU as a Service. GPU compute provisioned when a workload needs it and released when it does not, sized to the use case. Hardware details are on the GPU Infrastructure page.
    • Managed inference. One OpenAI-compatible endpoint and one API key. Existing OpenAI client code only needs a new base URL. IONext handles routing, batching and scaling.
    • Open-weight model hosting. Models such as Qwen, Gemma and DeepSeek run on IONext hardware in Jakarta, monitored in the same place as the VMs and pipelines that use them.

    Two platform products tie these services together. ORBIT is the workspace where infrastructure, pipelines and models are built, run and monitored on one canvas. IONA is the operational intelligence layer inside ORBIT: it reads signals from infrastructure, models and pipelines, explains what they mean, and recommends the next action.     Who is IONext built for?

    IONext is built mainly for system integrators, software houses and AI-solution companies whose expertise is building solutions (computer vision, document processing, model fine-tuning) rather than GPU selection, infrastructure sizing or production operations. IONext also serves companies with regulated data, including financial services, state-owned enterprises and government, retail and FMCG, manufacturing and hospitality, that need their data to stay in Indonesia.

    Where did IONext come from?

    The team behind IONext started out building software and AI applications used in production. From that work, the team saw that the biggest barrier to running AI in production in Indonesia was not the model but the infrastructure: GPUs that were hard to get or oversized for the job, and the obligation to keep data in the country. IONext was built to remove those barriers, with a focus on GPU workloads, efficient inference and open-weight models.

    IONext introduced its platform publicly at "AI Production at Scale Indonesia 2026" on 18 June 2026 at the Apple Developer Institute for Professionals, Autograph Tower, Jakarta, attended by around 100 technology leaders.
